I found an intresting platform for web publishing - Netlify

Time flies. It has been 4 years since the last post i have on this page. Recently i have more free time so I want to build some creativity projects. First thing first, i need to update my personal website. This website has been hosted in Medium since 2016 with custom domain (https://son.tl). I like the design of Medium but it’s worth a try to look for alternative platform that bring me more control and performance.

I started searching for a platform that can host my website with affordable price. Google bring me to Indiehackers discussion about Medium or custom blog? People mentions about a platform that can host the static pages, called Netlify. I have tried static pages with the github hosted platform. My code.edu.vn has been hosting there with $0 for years. It’s a cool idea that bring me the cost effective and performance solution about delivering self publishing content website.

Then i visited netlify.com to see the full features. The first impression, page load very fast! And it supports almost web technologies stacks that i want to use like Angular, React, Next.js, Vue. Yes, the Vuejs.org is hosting in Netlify itself. With automated deployment, Edge network, HTTPS by default, AWS Lambda functions without configuring API gateways, this platform is all what i neeed. And it’s free for starter. Cool, it’s time to create something. I have a domain m.net.vn but haven’t used for decade. Let’s try and see.
